Raja Guest House : A Review

It was an all boys trip, also my first true hiking trip in Himalayas. Plan was to go Aut by bus and then this small place called Shoja by anything we get and hike to Jalori Pass and then depending of situation hike upto either the Raghupur fort or Serolsar lake. We were excited about the whole trip and making sure to make every arrangement in advance. After some R & D, it was decided that Shoja will be the best place for night’s stay. There are few options there to stay likely, Raja Guest House and Banjara Retreat. As we were tight on budget, Banjara Retreat was not an option, so Raja Guest House was contacted. June is sort of off season, so we got room easily and reasonably priced too. The Shoja village and Raja Guest House Let

I am using the MI Redmi Note 4 G from last one month and here is what I made me said “WOW and “DAMN” Wow Features The front camera is awesome. I love the sharpness and quality of the selfies. Touch is really smooth, best I have seen at this price range. Charges at a lightening speed. Battery is good, once fully charged can easily stay for a day and half. The navigation is user friendly. Impressive looks Damn Defects The back cover of the phone takes a hell lot of effort to open up. Also the plastic material used in it making is not good. Whatsapp and other apps used to hang at times. The rear camera quality is not at par with 13 m.p.as claimed by the company Sound quality is not that good   Great (Front camera,

Book Review: Hooked, Lined & Single

This book is an insight of India’s custom regarding ‘Marriage’ and ‘Women’ Paperback The Blurb:  Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask God, ‘Where have I gone wrong?’ Then a voice says to me,  ‘This is going to take more than one night…’ So you’re a woman, you’re 30-something and living in India? So what’s the big deal about it? Well, if you’re all of the above and still unmarried or married previously and you just don’t seem to find the ”right” man, you suddenly acquire a tragically special status as being cynical, demanding, impractical and chronically single or ambitious. In Hooked, Lined & Single, Alafia Singh meets a similar fate on her journey to find a husband using somewhat more traditional methods. Excerpt:  Before leaving the room, Ram did something unexpected. He clicked a quick picture of

Book Review: Frozen Summer & Columbina

B-quHlJUAAAbw6w

Publisher: HALF BAKED BEANS; First Edition (2015) Paperback: 170 pages   Frozen Summer & Columbina  is India’s first ever double header book – two thrillers in the cost of one written by two young, aspiring authors. The cover is uniquely styled. My thoughts on “FROZEN SUMMER” by Geetha Madhuri: Frozen summer is a wonderful journey that takes the reader on a thrilling emotional ride. It made me smile, excited, sad, gives you goose bumps! It has a pacy narrative and that helps you get into the story quickly.  A simple yet powerful story with not many characters to remember. A terrific read with powerful vocabulary. I just couldn’t place the book down. Frozen summer leaves you speechless and disturbed at the end. The thrill factor is maintained from beginning till end. You feel the pain of the characters. Frozen Summer: 4.5/5 My
