HOWARU Probiotics – Natural Support to Gut Health..

I always keep Probiotics handy for my daughter, especially during our travels, when I have to compromise on the healthy food options and disturbed schedules. Recently R4Review team was invited by DuPont for a bloggers meet at Chancery Pavilion, Bangalore, creating awareness about gut health and the need for Probiotics for gut health in present lifestyle. So I was at the meet to understand Probiotics better. Here is all about the event and Probiotics.

Probiotics – Natural Support to Gut Health

Gut plays an important role in human body, where the food we eat digests and the nutrients are absorbed by the body. The balance between “good bacteria and bad bacteria in the gut is important for digestive health and the ability for immune system to fight off viruses, bacteria and diseases. Due to diet quality or ill health there might be imbalance of good to bad bacteria in human digestive track. If bad bacteria outnumber good bacteria in digestive system, the imbalance can lead to digestive disorders like irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease and infectious diarrhea.

As a natural way to establish and maintain the proper balance of good and bad bacteria in digestive systems, probiotics have been dev eloped. Probiotics are friendly bacteria that promote a healthy gut. According to the Food and Agricultural Organisation, the World Health Association defines probiotics as, live micro-organisms which, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit to the host. Probiotics are present in food like yogurt, fermented food, but not in efficacious strains. So you can add probitics to such traditional sources of active culture, to support specific health needs. Probiotics can be added to food or taken as a supplement to help maintain proper digestive health, keep immune system strong and have been shown to improve digestion and absorption of food nutrients.
